Will the competition go ahead if it rains?
Yes. The Beach and Boat is going ahead rain, hail or shine. If weather conditions are dangerous, the coastguard will make a judgement call to stop fishing - but we'll still have a good time in the venue and give out prizes.
When will I get my tickets?
Bring your ID for tickets purchased online or in-store to the event office from midday Thursday 15th February to collect your AWOP wristband(ticket), angler pack, and any day passes or camping passes you have purchased.
How do I book a marina berth?
Please contact the Marsden Cove Marina directly about use of their marina or haul-out facility.

Can my friend/partner/family attend the prizegiving?
Yes. But, they'll need to purchase a day pass to get into the venue. These can be purchased at the event for $10 if purchased with a fishing ticket, or $15 without. They can also be purchased online on the register page. Day passes for Saturday can sometimes sellout, so get in quick.
Where should I stay?
There's lots of accomodation options in the area. Beach and Boat even runs it's own campground, or there are plenty of options on Book a Bach.
Where can I buy bait & ice?
We'll have ice, berley & bait available on site.
What happens to the weighed fish?
All weighed fish is sold by competition sponsors Salty Dog and the proceeds go to the local charities.
Can someone under 16 be entered in the senior category?
Yes! Anyone under 16 can choose whether they would like to be entered in the Senior or Junior category. If you're above 16 you have to enter the Senior category, however.
